Your visits, notes, feedback, and signup
Manifold uses its own traffic measurement to understand interest in the landing site and interactive preview.
Traffic measurement
We record the page path, time, referral website or campaign label, and actions such as opening a preview, media page, or inspection panel. Random browser and session identifiers help estimate visits. Traffic measurement does not record search terms, comment text, or full referring URLs. Explicitly submitted feedback is stored separately as described below.
First-party cookies are shared between manifoldarena.com and preview.manifoldarena.com. Browser and source cookies last up to 30 days after activity; session cookies expire after 30 minutes of inactivity. A team marker lasts up to one year. Clearing cookies resets these identifiers. Raw traffic events are retained for up to 90 days.
IP addresses are processed temporarily to limit abusive requests; a short-lived digest is kept for rate limiting. Raw IP addresses are not stored in our analytics database. Known bots and team activity are separated from external traffic.
Early-access list
If you sign up, we store your email, signup date, source, and your agreement to receive Manifold early-access and launch updates. Email addresses are private and are not published in the preview. We retain the list until you ask to leave or it is no longer needed for this purpose. This list is separate from Substack subscriptions.
Feedback you send
When you choose Send to Manifold, we save your message, whether it is a suggestion or bug report, the referenced work or inspection item, and the submission time. Browser and source identifiers let us separate team tests from audience feedback and measure participation. Your feedback is private to the Manifold owner, is retained for up to 90 days, and does not instruct a live AI or enroll you in email updates. Preview comments saved only in your browser are not uploaded automatically.
Private inspection notes
Evidence requests and saved version comparisons are stored on Manifold’s servers until you remove them in Your notes. Their text, referenced inspection items, statuses, and save times are separate from traffic measurement and are not sent to creators or agents. A random access key stays in your browser; only a hash of that key identifies the notebook on the server. Clearing browser site data can remove your access without deleting the stored notes. Remove notes before clearing site data if you want to delete them.
Your choices
To leave the list or request deletion of your email, contact founder@manifoldarena.com. To request deletion of feedback, include the receipt shown after submission in your message to that address. You can disable or clear cookies in your browser; visitor estimates may then count repeat visits separately.
